Refund Policy

Last updated: 27 September 2026

This policy explains when we refund a payment for Akarguard, how to cancel, and what happens to your protection once a paid period ends. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Try it before you pay

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Card details are taken to start it, nothing is charged during those fourteen days, and cancelling before the trial ends means you are never billed. The trial is the intended way to decide whether Akarguard suits your traffic: you can point a domain at the edge, watch real requests arrive, and see what is filtered before any money changes hands.

If you do not subscribe, the trial simply ends. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund.

2. Refund window on your first payment

If you subscribe and then decide within 14 days of your first paid charge that the service is not right for you, contact us and we will refund that charge in full.

This applies once per customer, to the first payment on an account. It is not conditional on a fault on our side — you do not have to justify the request.

3. Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically at the start of each billing period. Renewal charges are not routinely refundable, because you can cancel at any time before a period begins and because the capacity a plan reserves at the edge is committed for that period.

We will still refund a renewal, in whole or in part, where the service materially failed to perform during the period charged — for example a sustained outage of the protection itself. Write to us with the dates and we will look at the edge records for your domains rather than take a position first.

4. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from the billing section of your dashboard, or by writing to support@akarguard.net. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not end the period you have already paid for.

Your protection keeps running until the end of that paid period. We do not cut a domain off mid-period, and monthly plans are not pro-rated on cancellation — you keep what you bought.

Once the period ends, traffic for your domains stops being served by the edge. Move your DNS back to your origin before that date so visitors are not interrupted. We will remind you before the final day.

5. What we cannot refund

Charges older than the first-payment window described above, where the service performed as described, and any period during which an account was suspended for a breach of the Terms of Service or acceptable use rules.

6. Your statutory rights

Nothing here reduces rights you have by law. Consumers in the EU, the UK and other jurisdictions with equivalent protections keep their statutory cancellation and refund rights, and those prevail over this policy wherever they conflict with it.

7. How refunds are paid

Payments for Akarguard are processed by our payment provider, which acts as merchant of record for the sale. An approved refund is returned to the original payment method through that provider. Your bank usually posts it within five to ten business days, which is outside our control.

If something looks wrong with a charge, please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback freezes the account while it is investigated, which is slower for you than an email to us and usually resolves the same way.

8. Contact

Billing questions and refund requests: support@akarguard.net. Include the domain and the date of the charge and we will not need to ask twice.
