Akarguard is a working DDoS protection service and a fast-moving engineering project. We protect real production sites today and are expanding — and we would rather show you exactly where we are than dress it up.
Where we are, honestly
Akarguard is independent and self-funded, run by a focused team that protects real production sites today while we expand the platform. We are honest about scale: we do not yet operate a global network of scrubbing centres, and we will not pretend to. What we do run is a real, working edge that filters attack traffic before it reaches your server — and we are actively rolling out new edge locations, with the Netherlands, Germany and the United States next on the map.
You can see our real numbers for yourself: the attacks we have mitigated, peak rates and volumes are published live at akarguard.net/ddos-statistics and updated hourly. Nothing on this site is a number we cannot show you.
Our technology
We build on a proven open-source DDoS filtering engine as our foundation, and develop our own layer on top of it — the detection, the in-kernel banning, the reporting and the dashboard are ours, and are where most of our engineering goes. Concretely, what runs today:
- Reverse-proxy edge that hides your origin server's address
- Browser / JavaScript challenge and CAPTCHA to filter automated floods
- In-kernel IP banning (ipset + iptables) so filtering stays fast under load
- Our own background collector, per-minute history and attack detection
- Live dashboard with mitigation events, plus a PDF report emailed after each attack
- Free Let's Encrypt certificates, issued and renewed automatically
- Email-based two-factor sign-in, encryption at rest, BCP 38 ingress filtering
What we stand for
Transparent by default
We publish what we actually measure, name our stage honestly, and never claim capacity or customers we cannot show. Our attack data is public and live.
Security first
Origin IPs stay hidden, sign-in is two-step, the database is encrypted at rest, and every administrative change is written to an audit trail.
Own the stack
We build on a proven open-source filtering engine as a base and develop our own detection, banning and reporting on top — so the protection improves on our own timeline.
Built to grow
Independent and self-funded, with a platform built from day one to add edge nodes and capacity. New locations are on the way — the Netherlands, Germany and the United States are next — and we are open to investment and partnerships to get there faster.
