Akarguard is an independent DDoS protection provider. It filters attack traffic at the edge — hiding the origin server, challenging automated floods, and dropping repeat offenders in the Linux kernel — before traffic reaches a customer's server. Customers activate protection with a single DNS change, with no hardware or BGP sessions required. Akarguard builds on a proven open-source filtering engine and develops its own detection, banning and reporting on top, and is expanding to new edge locations in the Netherlands, Germany and the United States. It is EU GDPR aligned and publishes its real, measured attack data openly.
